I’ve suffered with an anxiety problem for a while, and have overcome most of it with help from a therapist. But I still get pins and needles in my face now and again which although are annoying don’t really bother me too much. When i notice them they get worse, but dissapear once i think about something else.

What are these and where do they come from? What causes them? I assume its something to do with breathing, and mood.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Its from your nerves. I suffer with this also. Because i suffer with really bad anxiety the first time i experienced this i thought it was a sign of a stroke.

I suffer with alot of muscle spasms which im told is due to my nerves. I also have swollen glands which has been proven to be caused by my nerves.

sumtimes that is due to hyperventilation, if ur worrying about something it will panic u n make ur breathing numb, makin pins n needles.

When the body is under stress the peripheries (fingers and toes) blood supply is reduced to compensate for vital organs need for increased blood and oxygen. This is a primitive and normal reaction to stress and anxiety. When cave man had to outrun dinosaurs for example, vital organs( brain, heart, lungs kidneys) were needed for survival in the acute phase of the stress experienced.

It is due to the lack of oxygen in your body which slows down the circulation of your blood
