my dog did the same thing, when i moved. I never took her to the vet. she got over it about a month with no treatment/

unfortunately one the the side effects of anxiety medication is….anxiety! go figure!

considering he is in a new home I’m not surprised he is upset. dogs are sensitive to things we take for granted. he probably doesn’t enjoy spending so much time in a new home with you gone that he has yet to become comfortable with.

do you crate him? if not..you should think about it. crating is good for dogs with anxiety problems…since this is a “new” behavior i would suspect he is just uncomfortable where he is and doesn’t feel safe. a crate would give him a “den” like structure that he would be able to make “his”. you can put a bed in it for him, toys, raw hides..etc. things that he LOVES. drape a towel or blanket over the crate to make it dark, and quiet like a den…it makes them calmer. background nose such as a TV w/the volume down low helps fill the “emptiness” he feels.
make sure he has plenty of room to stand in the crate…a cramped crate WILL feel like a cage, not a safe haven.
